Obituary for Walter G. "Wall" Harrison

Walter “Wall(y)” Harrison, age 68. Best friend, drinking partner, and soulmate to Bev nee Umgelder for 40 years. Menards-aisle peruser, chauffeur and proud, thoughtful dad to Melanie “Mitts” Harrison. Professional concrete driver of the “Wally Bauer Edition” at Wille Brothers for 27 years. Garage aficionado and master of decals, frequently seen riding his lawnmower and cooling off with a beer on the porch. Enjoyed revving engines in his ‘67 Caprice with his late brother Bob (Kathy) Harrison and Tom (Char) Umgelder. Lost many car shows to Darryl and Carol Seal. Left what he did in Vegas with his travel buddies Ron and Sharon Sobiski. Had many fond memories of the blurry days of Bass Lake with Roger, Mary, Don, Deb, late Rich and late Mary Ellen Umgelder. Looked forward to a birthday call from Chuck and Connie Umgelder every year with a smart remark about growing older. Loved driving with the top down in sunny Florida with David and Pam Umgelder. Always remembered the rafting and canoeing trips with Bill and Marilyn Umgelder, John and the late Jeanette Umgelder, along with the rest of the crew. Appreciated time spent with Jean Jachna, Butch and the late Wanda Umgelder, Darlene and Jimmy Veyette, and with all the nieces and nephews at the family reunions.

A Celebration of Wall’s life will be held Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Harrison's residence starting at 2:00 p.m.
